"I'm calling the cops to remove you from the property." - store manager

Why you might ask? Because I wanted to have my 2x2 photos printed through their 6x4 service.

You know they charge $12.99 a pop for 2x2 passport photos while a 6x4 non-passport print costs only 29 cents right? Do you have a feeling that they are ripping you off? That's because they 100% are. They can do this because they want people to think that they are the "official" place to do this. They aren't. It's perfectly legal to take and print passport photos on your own.

So I took the picture myself and fitted six 2x2 photos into one 6x4 print and ordered two of them on cvs website. All went well and I got an email saying "your photos are ready for pick-up".

But when I arrived at the store, the manager snatched the already printed photos away and flatly said, "I'm not selling you these. These are illegal federal documents."

In what universe are they illegal???

There is absolutely no law forbidding me from printing photos of myself. And what I use them for is none of your business.

You refuse to provide me a perfectly legal service (printing 6x4 photos) that you provide to other people. That's discrimination.

And when I went through the online process of ordering the prints, we have already formed at least part of a contract. There wasn't a single warning when I was ordering online. You could not refuse to complete the transaction after I drove all the way to your store. Don't you think that your action is even more illegal?

And that is what I argued on the spot. I was only trying to reason with them. I did not get emotional. I did not use any inappropriate language.

But the manager repeatedly made the comment "I'm not gonna lose my job over this", implying I was the party at fault. When I insisted that I would not leave without my photos, there went the threat at the beginning of the review.

So this is how you treat your customers? You try to rip them off and when you fail, you intimidate them?

Actually I was glad when you said you were calling the police. I had been perfectly within my legal rights and you knew it. I wanted more people to know about your action.

And that's why I'm pretty sure you weren't actually calling the police. (Yeah I could hear your conversation.) And that's also why you gave me my photos in the end.

So you said you were not going to lose your job over this, right? Let's see about that. How about this as your very first review on the internet? How about a BBB complaint for discrimination, intimidation, and violation of contract?

It's not about the money anymore. I am just disgusted by you.
